I read about a ‘lost’ cask of whisky recently that sold for more than £4m. I love the idea of it languishing away in a lonely corner of the bond for decades while the world turns and life carries on, the liquid slowly ageing and becoming something unimaginably special. I may never get to taste the whisky from a lost and found cask – so here are some lines that could help sell it.
The project – Concept and copy.
The brief – I imaged the distillery wanted to convey its venerability, its gravitas, the sheer weight of its history, while also introducing the idea of a "lost" collection – not just a single collector-owned cask, but something all whisky fans could enjoy.
